circa 1780, with banded turn-off 2 3/8in. iron barrel (frozen), border and scroll engraved central hammer boxlock action signed 'I. HICKIN' on the left hand side, London proofs, trigger-guard bow safety and walnut slab-sided butt inlet with wire scrolls (some losses to inlay)
